An investigation is underway after the death Tuesday of a female inmate in the Ottawa County jail. Sheriff Jeremy Floyd says the unidentified woman began having a seizure at the jail shortly before 12:15 p.m. and an ambulance was called.

The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office is looking for a person of interest after a rash of ATM skimming across northeast Oklahoma. Deputies released a photo of that person on Wednesday. 

A man wanted in several counties has been arrested.

Statistics show more than 70 percent of domestic abuse survivors claimed their partner harmed or killed animals to intimidate them. Some Oklahoma sheriff's offices are teaming up to raise awareness about the link.

The Ottawa County Sheriff Office says a  woman is in critical condition after she was found shot at a Miami apartment complex Tuesday and the shooter is later found dead.
